Associations:

Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers - SNAME is an internationally recognized professional organization. A US based society it is comprised of individual members. Its goal is to advance the art, science and practice of Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, and Marine Engineering. The books and technical journals it publishes are a basis for much of today's common design practice. A majority of SNAME's focus is on large ships, but they are also responsible for a vast amount of published work on smaller commercial vessels and yachts.
