Magazines:
PassageMaker - The Trawler & Ocean Motorboat
Magazine
One of the best
sources of information on cruising boats and the cruising lifestyle.
The pages of PassageMaker have over the years provided a wealth of
practical insight into both cruising boats and the cruising lifestyle.
I have been pleased to have contributed several articles to PMM over the
years. My surprisingly popular Mini-Rant ads have also been a feature in
the magazine since it's launching. Read them in the magazine or here
on-line.

Boatbuilder Magazine - The Journal of Boat Design and
Construction. Much of the focus is presenting hands on information
for the "do-it yourself" builder and the professional custom builder.
The magazine is most useful for cruising boats 50-foot or smaller.
It is an interesting read with several very qualified designers as
regular contributors.

WorkBoat
Magazine
- In Business on the Coastal and Inland Waters.
Workboat is a very commercial magazine involved with everything from
pilot boats to tug boats to offshore supply vessels and beyond. It
is a good source for seeing how the commercial guys do things, and what
equipment and systems they use. It is largely distributed in the
trade but is presumably also available by general subscription.

Professional
Boatbuilder - The magazine for those working in design, construction
and repair. Largely related to production boat building this magazine
presents articles on all manner of design and construction. Its'
focus is clearly for professionals working in a broad range of
disciplines. Again it is widely distributed in the trade, but is
presumably also available by general subscription.
