A GOOD LOOKING BOAT ISN’T

NECESSARILY A GOOD DESIGN.

A pretty boat is just the beginning ...

Now don’t get me wrong, everyone loves a good looking boat. Just because a boat looks good, however, doesn’t mean it is a good boat for you, a good boat for long range cruising, or even a good boat at all. A lot of designers, builders, brokers, and maybe even your next door neighbor can sketch a pretty picture of a boat.

A good boat, however, means more than just a pretty picture. A good boat requires good design. Good design only starts with a pretty picture. It must be backed up by dozens of technical calculations, and a stack of accurate, detailed, dimensioned drawings to prove that the boat you are getting will do what it needs to do.

Don’t settle for less. My advice is not to ignore the pretty pictures, just don’t forget, to look at what’s behind them. Remember it is the dozens of other design details that make the boat really work, and that, more importantly, will keep you and yours safe.

But that's just my opinion.
